How we work.

Craftsmen, Not Contractors.

We don't staff projects. We commit to them. Every solution we ship gets the same obsessive attention. Not because the contract says so, but because that's how we're built.

The Origin

Why Vertice Labs Exists.

We've over-delivered on every project we've worked on. Not because a contract required it. Because that's how we're wired.

Before Vertice Labs, our team led technology at Amazon, Charter Communications, Krispy Kreme, and Slalom. We've shipped a lot of software. That experience taught us something most development teams never learn: the difference between building what was specified and building what works.

That goes beyond buttons and layouts. It's understanding what someone is actually trying to get done. Anticipating the workflow before the user describes it. Seeing the product the way the person using it will see it. That's envisioning, not just engineering.

We built Vertice Labs around that instinct. The firm, the process, the tooling. All of it is designed to move the needle.

How We Build

AI-Native Delivery Infrastructure.

We've taken everything we've learned from decades of shipping software and encoded it into a proprietary AI-native delivery infrastructure. It's not a project management tool. It's how our code gets written.

The infrastructure enforces our highest code design principles at the architecture level. Our tribal knowledge is embedded in the system. The patterns we've refined across hundreds of builds, the edge cases we've learned to anticipate, the quality standards we hold ourselves to. All of it runs through every line of code our team produces.

The result is code that reads like it was written by a craftsman. Because it was. AI executes. Engineers direct.

We deliver in weeks what others quote months for. Not more people. Better infrastructure. Our engineers spend their energy understanding your business, not writing code by hand. Staff engineers who think like owners. That's the hire.

Operating Principles

What Drives Us.

The Code Is the Craft.

Our delivery infrastructure enforces the standards. Our engineers direct the build. The output is production-grade from the first commit. No technical debt to pay down later.

We Want to Win.

We are intrinsically motivated to overachieve. Not for the invoice. For the impact. We build software that helps your business win because that's what we measure ourselves against.

Excellence, Not the Bare Minimum.

We don't build to spec and call it done. We anticipate what the end user needs, surface what the requirements missed, and ship something that exceeds what was asked for.

Show, Don't Tell.

We don't send status decks. We ship working software. You have a live test environment within weeks. You see it, use it, give feedback on the real thing.

Honesty Before Everything.

If what you need isn't what we do, we'll tell you. If the timing isn't right, we'll say so. We only engage when we can make measurable impact.

Outcome Over Output.

We don't count hours. We count what changed. The only question that matters is whether the thing we built moved your business forward. That's how we measure ourselves.

The Team

The People Behind the Work.

Every person here could run their own firm. They chose to build here instead. No layers between leadership and the people building your software.

Background

Where We Come From.

Before Vertice Labs, our team built and shipped at:

AmazonCharter CommunicationsKrispy KremeSlalomDeloitte

Products that have generated over $100M in revenue. We know what good looks like because we've built it at scale.

“Your entire pitch had no BS in it. You weren't trying to convince me of anything, you weren't trying to overpromise. It was just: here's what we do, here's what you're going to get at the end. And I was like, actually yes.”
